Sponsor a Student at the VTC
As an integral part of its work to build a sustainable community, AICM runs a Vocational Training College (VTC) in Kabale. The college offers poorly educated young people the chance to equip themselves to earn a living. The VTC is acquiring an excellent reputation as it continues to expand, offering various courses including:
- agriculture,
- plumbing
- blocklaying and concrete practice,
- business studies,
- computing and accounting, and
- hotel management and catering.
Many young people lack the funds to access the courses and many drop out during their course through lack of funds. Fees for all these courses include boarding as travelling from remote areas is impossible.
You can help by offering a bursary of £22 per month which will cover a student’s tuition fees.
The college administrators will send a photo of the student and details of the course to be followed and the student will write a progress report at the end of the academic year.
